Lumiere London, the capital’s largest arts festival, returned to London’s West End in January 2018. More than 40 UK and international artists will transform London’s West End and landmarks across the capital into a vast nocturnal outdoor exhibition space, offering audiences new and surprising perspectives on the capital’s districts, streets and world-famous architecture.
Visitors to London’s West End got to see the area in a spectacular new light as world-leading artists lit-up its iconic landmarks and globally renowned streets, attracting people to explore this unique cultural and theatrical destination and its unrivalled choice of world class leisure, retail and entertainment experiences.
Culture, art and entertainment are synonymous with London’s West End, the most visited destination in the UK, and the festival welcomed millions of visitors over the four evenings from the 18 to 21 January 2018, reinforcing the city’s position as the leading global cultural capital.
Festival destinations across London’s West End include Carnaby, Leicester Square, Mayfair, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Seven Dials, St James’s and St James’s Market, with Covent Garden, Fitzrovia and Victoria added as new locations for 2018.
