A major new food, culture and hospitality destination is coming to the West End, with Time Out announcing plans to open its global flagship Time Out Market in the heart of Piccadilly Circus in summer 2028.

The new Time Out Market will occupy the landmark 10 Piccadilly development at 55 Regent Street, at the intersection of Regent Street, Piccadilly and Piccadilly Circus. The location is one of the capital’s most prominent visitor destinations, with approximately 74 million annual visitors across Regent Street.

Spanning more than 26,400 sq ft across three floors, Time Out Market London will bring together a curated selection of the capital’s chefs, restaurateurs, bars and food businesses, alongside a programme of cultural experiences and events.

The market will be more than a food and drink destination. Visitors can expect live music, performances, talks, exhibitions and other cultural events throughout the year, creating a new place to eat, drink, discover and experience London in the heart of the West End.

What this means for London?

The London opening will also mark a significant milestone for Time Out Market. First launched in Lisbon in 2014, the concept has since expanded across four continents and now operates 13 markets, welcoming more than 12 million visitors each year. Markets currently operate in destinations including New York, Barcelona, Dubai, Cape Town, Osaka, Bahrain, Porto, Budapest, Montreal and Vancouver.

London will become the global flagship of the Time Out Market portfolio and is expected to be the 18th or 19th Time Out Market worldwide when it opens.

The project is being developed in partnership with The Crown Estate and will incorporate sustainability principles across its design and operation, including energy-efficient building systems, food waste reduction initiatives and an emphasis on local sourcing where possible.

Further details, including the opening date, culinary line-up and cultural programme, are expected to be announced closer to launch. So make sure to stay tuned!
