Every year, the National Gallery’s Take One Picture programme gets primary school kids exploring one painting and creating their own inspired artworks.
This time, de Hooch’s 17th-century classic has sparked all kinds of wild creativity — think wicker sculptures, cardboard houses, clay tiles, and yep, even baked apple pies!
You’ll find their amazing artwork spread across three spots in and around the National Gallery. Plus, there’s a cool augmented reality trail that brings their creations to life right before your eyes.
Featuring work by kids aged 6–11 from Woodford Valley Primary Academy and Parkhill Junior School.
Head over to:
- Jubilee Walk – Augmented Reality Experience
- St James’s Market Pavilion
- The Roden Centre for Creative Learning
It’s a fun, fresh way to see art from a brand-new angle right here in the buzz of London’s West End.
