Firmdale Hotels: Haymarket Hotel - Friday 19 May: World Whisky Day DinnerTo celebrate World Whisky Day, Haymarket Hotel has partnered with Diageo to create a unique four-course dinner with whisky pairings.Diageo will feature five of their favoured Scotch whiskies, which will each capture a distinct element of Scotch whisky, from the Lagavulin distillery in Islay with its complex mix of seashore and moor to the world renowned Johnnie Walker.Start the evening in the Drawing Room with a pre-dinner whisky cocktail and canapés, before moving into the elegant Shooting Gallery to feast on a delicious four-course menu, especially created to complement the unique flavour profiles of each whisky.Before each course, Diageo Scotch Whisky Ambassador, Colin Dunn, will introduce each of the hand selected whiskies. Colin will outline how the flavours work with each course, whether it is the warm, smoky notes of the award-winning Talisker 10 Year-old paired with hand carved smoked salmon from Loch Fyne or the spicy and fruity flavours of Cardhu Gold Reserve which complement the braised belly of pork with star anise and apple sauce.After dinner, guests are welcome to continue their whisky voyage in Brumus Bar, where drinks will be available to purchase long into the evening.Book tickets here.Tickets cost £85 per person, including welcome cocktail, canapés, four-course meal and whisky pairings.Find out more on their website.
