Mark Earth Day with a special late-night opening at the National Portrait Gallery, celebrating stories of hope, creativity and collective action. This inspiring evening brings together talks, performances and film, inviting visitors to reflect on the people shaping a more sustainable future.

In collaboration with climate charity Murmur, the event responds to this year’s Earth Day theme, ‘Our Power, Our Planet’, highlighting changemakers featured in the Gallery’s Collection and the lasting impact of their work.

Visitors can enjoy drop-in talks on environmental heroes, a live poetry performance by Isaiah Hull, a screening of the Oscar-nominated film Planetwalker, and a DJ set from Yazmin Lacey, alongside the opportunity to explore the Gallery after hours.
