Spanning Piccadilly Circus to Leicester Square, this dazzling display is the perfect way to celebrate Ramadan in the heart of the city.

This year, the Aziz Foundation is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and the display is bigger, brighter, and more immersive than ever before. The star-studded switch-on ceremony included Sir Sadiq Khan, Rahima Aziz BEM, Adil Ray OBE, and Yasser Ranjha, making it a night to remember. There were interactive installations, a magical lantern parade, and a show-stopping light display that wowed the crowd.

Children’s Lantern Parade

The fun kicked off with a heartwarming lantern parade led by the Lord Mayor of Westminster. Around 70 children from local schools carried their beautifully crafted lanterns through Leicester Square, lighting up the streets and showing off the true spirit of togetherness.

‘Spread The Light’ Installation

The new ‘Spread The Light’ installation in Leicester Square was switched on, dazzling beams of light soared into the sky, revealing gold and silver patterns and the words ‘Spread The Light’—spreading an uplifting message of hope and unity.

The grand switch-on took over Coventry Street with an aerial light display that transformed the West End into a glowing masterpiece. The streets lit up with beautiful geometric patterns and celestial motifs.

Throughout Ramadan, the lights will glow with the message ‘Happy Ramadan’, and then switch to ‘Happy Eid’ for Eid al-Fitr—making it Europe’s first major light display dedicated to Eid.

At the heart of the installation is Sundial, a stunning artwork symbolising the transition from dawn to dusk, reflecting the fasting experience with glowing suns, moons, and intricate patterns that will mesmerise you.
